Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina ( suji)
- 1 tablespoon rice flour
- ½ cup yogurt
- 3 tablespoons grated carrot
- 6-8 spinach leaves, shredded
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- Oil to shallow fry
Method
- Mix the semolina and rice flour in a bowl. Add yogurt and mix well. Cover and set aside for 6-8 hours.
- Add carrot, spinach leaves, salt, cumin seeds and crushed peppercorns and mix well. You can add little water if required to adjust the consistency.
- Drizzle little oil on a nonstick tawa. Spread spoonful of batter and spread lightly. Drizzle some oil and allow the underside to cook.
- Serve hot with coconut and tomato chutney.
