Sesame Fish

Fish fillets marinated with sesame seeds and some other aromatics, wrapped in foil and baked. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Sesame Fish

  • 2 Fish fillet basa
  • 1 cup Leeks roughly chopped
  • 1 Green capsicum cut into thin strips
  • 1 teaspoon Dark soy sauce
  • 2-3 Birds eye chillies
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds toasted
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil (til oil)

Method

  1. Cut fish into thick strips.
  2. Put leeks in a bowl, add capsicum and soy sauce. Mix well.
  3. Roughly chop chillies and add to the bowl alongwith garlic, sesame seeds, salt, vinegar, sugar and sesame oil. Mix well.
  4. Add fish and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 25 minutes in refrigerator.
  5. Preheat oven to 200° C.
  6. Wrap individual marinated fish fillets in a foil paper. Place them on a tray.
  7. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Unwrap and serve hot.
