Ingredients list for Seafood Cakes
- ½ cup Crab meat tinned
- ½ cup Shrimps chopped
- ½ cup Indian salmon (rawas) boneless, chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2-3 Spring onion bulbs finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Mustard sauce
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Cajun spice mix
- to taste Salt
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 2-3 drops Tabasco sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons Fresh bread crumbs
- 1 one-inch pieces Lemon juice
- for shallow frying Olive oil
- to serve Tomato ketchup
Method
- Take fish, crab meat, shrimps, onion, spring onion bulbs, garlic, mayonnaise, mustard sauce, parsley, paprika, green chillies, Cajun spice mix, salt, crushed peppercorns, Tabasco sauce and breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix. Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Divide the seafood mixture into small equal portions. Dampen your palms with some water and shape each portion into cakes.
- Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan. Shallow-fry the cakes, turning sides, till golden and fully cooked on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
