Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup yogurt
- ½ tablespoon garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon dried fenugreek powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
- 1 tablespoon butter + for greasing
- 1 tablespoon refined flour
- 1 cup milk
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 3 tablespoons processed cheese, grated
- Chives chopped to garnish
- Onion rings to serve
- Lemon wedges to serve
- Fresh mint sprig to serve
Method
- Take yogurt in a bowl, add garlic paste, garam masala powder, fried fenugreek powder, salt, lemon juice and mustard oil and mix well.
- Make slits on chicken drumsticks and add them to the prepared mixture. Mix well and keep the bowl in the refrigerator to marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Preheat air fryer at 200ºC. Grease the basket with butter and place the marinated chicken drumsticks in it. Fit the basket to the air fryer and air fry for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in a non-stick pan, add refined flour, mix well and sauté till the mixture is lightly coloured. Add milk, whisk well so that there are no lumps. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and cheese and mix well. Cook till the sauce thickens slightly.
- Place the chicken drumsticks on a serving plate and pour the white sauce over them.
- Garnish with chives and serve hot with onion rings, lemon wedge and mint sprig.
