Ingredients list for Prawn Koliwada
- 16-18 Prawns (medium) peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted
- 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
- 2 tablespoon Yogurt
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
Method
- Make a thick batter with the gram flour, roasted cumin powder, chilli powder, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, yogurt and two tablespoons of water.
- Marinate the prawns in the batter for half an hour. Heat the oil in a kadai and deep-fry the prawns till crisp on the outside. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot, sprinkled with chaat masala and lemon juice.
