Ingredients list for Potato Bites with Cheesy Garlic Dip
- 3 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled
- 4 teaspoons Refined Flour
- 3 tablespoons Cheese spread
- 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoons Processed cheese grated
- to taste Salt
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin powder
- Fresh parsley chopped 21/2 teaspoons + for garnishing
- Oil 1 teaspoon + for deep-frying
- 1 teaspoon Milk
- for garnishing Red chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon +
Method
- Grate potatoes into a bowl. Add refined flour, one tablespoon grated processed cheese, salt, crushed peppercorns, cumin powder and two teaspoons chopped parsley and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into twelve equal portions and shape them into bite-size patties.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide in the patties, a few at a time, into hot oil and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To make the dip, heat one teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till light golden.
- Place cheese spread in a bowl, add milk, red chilli flakes, remaining grated processed cheese and mix well. Add sautéed garlic along with the oil and mix well. Add half teaspoon chopped parsley and mix well.
- 6. Place the potato bites on a serving platter. Top with the dip, garnish with the red chilli flakes and parsley and serve immediately.
