Ingredients list for Peet Perun Kandachi Paat

  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 7-8 Spring Onion chopped
  • 7-8 stalks Spring onion greens chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 1 large Tomato chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder

Method

  1. Take oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  2. When they splutter, add ginger paste, garlic paste, spring onions and some of the greens and sauté for a minute. Add tomato and salt and continue to sauté for further two minutes. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder and continue to sauté. Add gram flour and mix well.
  3. Sprinkle a little water, cover and cook on low heat for ten minutes. Sprinkle more water if the mixture dries up while cooking. Add spring onion greens and mix.
  4. Cover and cook for another five minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
