Ingredients list for Paneer Palak and Cheese Balls
- 1 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
- 1 cup Spinach blanched and chopped
- 2 tablespoons Processed cheese grated
- 4 White bread slices
- ½ teaspoon Ginger
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- ½ teaspoon Lemon juice
- for deep-frying Oil
- for dusting Cornflour/ corn starch
Method
- Roughly tear bread slices and grind to make fresh breadcrumbs.
- Combine spinach, cottage cheese, processed cheese, ginger, cumin seeds, green chillies, salt and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well. Add fresh breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Divide the spinach mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls. Coat the balls in cornflour, dust-off the excess flour and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
