Ingredients list for Paneer Anar
- 200 grams Cottage Cheese
- 3 cups Fresh Pomegranate Juice
- 2 tablespoons Fresh pomegranate pearls
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 cup Onions chopped
- 2 tablespoons Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto) soaked
- 10-12 Cashewnuts soaked
- 1 1/2 inch cloves Ginger
- to taste Salt
- 3/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons Yogurt whisked
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add onions and sauté till golden.
Grind poppy seeds, cashewnuts and ginger to a fine paste.
Add pomegranate juice to the pan and bring it to a boil. - Cut paneer into different shapes and add to the pan. Add salt, red chilli powder, ground masala and mix gently.
- Add yogurt and mix. Add green cardamom powder and mix.
Garnish with fresh pomegranate pearls and serve hot.
