Ingredients list for Mutton Chops Chinese Style
- 500 grams Mutton chops
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Garlic minced
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil (til oil)
- for deep-frying Oil
- for dusting Cornflour/ corn starch
- to sprinkle Onion-garlic salt
Method
- Take mutton chops in a bowl. Add chilli sauce, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, garlic, salt, pepper powder, vinegar, castor sugar and sesame oil and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan. Add mutton chops along with the marinade and 1 cup water. Stir well and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Spread cornflour on a plate.
- Dust the mutton chops in the cornflour and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle onion-garlic salt on top and serve hot.
