  • 250 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste 
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon citric acid
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • ½ cup refined flour (maida)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • Mustard mayonnaise for serving


  1. Mix together chicken cubes, salt, pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chilli flakes, dried mixed herbs, citric acid and lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. 
  3. Coat the marinated chicken cube with some flour, dip in beaten egg and coat with cornflakes. Again dip in beaten eggs and coat with cornflakes. 
  4. Put the prepared chicken cubes in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 
  5. Serve hot with mustard mayonnaise.
