Ingredients list for Leftover Rice Tikki - SK Khazana
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 1 tablespo for shallow frying Oil
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- 1 Medium onion chopped
- 1/4 cup Carrot grated
- 3-4 French beans chopped
- 1 tablespoon Green peas boiled and mashed
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Semolina
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- to serve Tomato ketchup
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add green chilli and onion, mix and sauté till onion turns translucent.
- Add carrot, French beans, green peas and salt, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- Take rice in a bowl, add the vegetable mixture, semolina, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Divide mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into medium sized tikkis.
- Heat a little oil in a non-stick tawa, place the tikkis on it and shallow-fry, turning sides, on medium heat till golden brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
