Lauki Ka Juice

Bottle gourd is known to be great for the liver, in relieving constipation and urinary tract infection effectively. Along with some roasted cumin seeds, tulsi or basil leaves, some fresh ginger and a good squeeze of lemon juice you can be rest assured of great looking skin and also plenty of weight loss. Ingredients list for Lauki Ka Juice

  • 2 medium Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi) peeled, seeded, chopped
  • 4 Amla (Indian gooseberry) sliced
  • 2 inch pieces Ginger chopped
  • 15-20 Fresh mint leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black salt (kala namak)
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 2-3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • as required Ice cubes


  1. Put the bottle gourd, amla, ginger, mint leaves, salt, black salt and cumin seeds in a blender. Add one cup of water and blend it for two to three minutes.
  2. Add another cup of water, lemon juice, ice cubes and blend it for another two to three minutes. Strain into individual glasses and serve chilled.
