Ingredients list for Khasta Aloo Chaat
- 4 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- for deep-frying Oil
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
- as required Yogurt
- as required Green chutney
- as required Date and tamarind chutney
- as required Red chilli-garlic chutney
- to sprinkle Chaat masala
- as required Sev
- to sprinkle Red chilli powder
- for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Combine potatoes, salt and cornflour in a bowl and mix.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis.
- Deep-fry tikkis in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Place tikkis in individual serving platters and break them with a fork. Drizzle some yogurt, green chutney and date-tamarind chutney on top.
- Put some red chilli-garlic chutney and sprinkle some chaat masala on top. Put some sev and sprinkle some chilli powder on top.
- Serve immediately garnished with coriander leaves.
