Ingredients list for Kantola Suva Masala
- 400 grams Kantola
- 1 cup Dill Leaves finely chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons Oil
- 2 Dried red chillies
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Garlic finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 130 grams Bhuna masala
- Juice of 1 lemon
Method
- Scrape the kantola and halve them. Remove the seeds. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add dried red chillies and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant.
- Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and sauté for a minute. Add the kantola and mix well. Add turmeric powder and salt and toss.
- Add bhuna masala and mix well. Add 1 cup water and mix. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, till the vegetable becomes dry.
- Add dill and lemon juice and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with a dill sprig and serve hot.
