Ingredients for Kale Chane Recipe

  • Dried black chickpeas (kale chane) , soaked overnight and boiled 1 cup

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoons

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

  • Puris to serve

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add cumin powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder, mix well and sauté for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add black chickpeas and salt and mix well. Add garam masala powder, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot with puris.
