Ingredients list for Jeera Aloo
1 1/2 tablespoon Cumin seeds
4-5 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled
2 tablespoons Oil
1 tablespoon Ghee
1 tablespoon Coriander seeds
to taste Salt
1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
Cut the potatoes into dices. Heat oil and ghee in a non stick pan. Add ½ tablespoon cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour.Combine remaining cumin seeds and coriander seeds in a grinder jar.
Grind coarsely and add half of this powder to the pan. Add potatoes and salt. Toss to mix and add remaining ground powder. Toss again to mix.
Add red chilli powder, chaat masala and roasted cumin powder. Mix and toss again. Sprinkle a little water and mix well. Cook for 1 minute. Serve hot.
