Ingredients list for Jardaloo Marghi
- 15-20 Dried Apricots soaked
- 800 grams Chicken cut into 1/2 cm wide long stripes cut into 8 piece
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 5 Green cardamoms
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 3 medium Onions sliced
- 2 tablespoons Ginger paste
- 2 teaspoons Garlic paste
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 medium Tomatoes chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- for garnish Potato salli
Method
- Heat oil in a deep non stick pan.
- Add green cardamoms, cinnamon and onions and saute till fragrant and light golden. Remove seeds from the apricots.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste and chicken to the pan and mix well and continue to saute.Add turmeric powder and mix.
- Add salt and tomatoes and mix well. Add red chilli powder and 1 cup water and mix well.
- Cover and cook till chicken is almost done. Add apricots and mix. Add vinegar and mix. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with potato salli.
