Ingredients list for Green Banana Salad

  • 2 Green unripe bananas
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 medium Cucumber chopped
  • 2 stalks Celery , thinly sliced
  • 1 medium Carrot , coarsley grated
  • a small bunch Lettuce leaves
  • For dressing
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 clove Garlic crushed
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard paste

Method

  1. Peel the bananas and cook in boiling salted water for ten minutes, or until just tender. Drain, cool and cut crosswise into half-inch slices.
  2. Place all the ingredients for the dressing in a small glass jar and shake well to mix.
  3. Mix together the banana, cucumber, celery and carrot in a large bowl. Add the dressing and toss well to mix. Serve on a bed of lettuce.
