Ingredients list for Fish Sticks
- 250 grams Fish fillets boneless, white, cut into fingers
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- ½ cup Idli rawa
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 Egg
- Tartar sauce
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Pickled jalapenos chopped
- 1 teaspoon Capers chopped
- 1 teaspoon gherkin chopped
- 1 teaspoon Pickled onions chopped
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Take fish in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
- Spread idli rawa on a plate. Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.
- Break an egg into another bowl and whisk well.
- Dip each marinated fish fingers in egg, coat with idli rawa mixture and place on another plate.
- Deep-fry these fish fingers in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To prepare tartar sauce, put mayonnaise, crushed peppercorns, jalapenos, capers, gherkins, pickled onion and salt in another bowl and mix well.
- Serve the fish sticks hot with tartar sauce.
