Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Fish And Mango Kabab Recipe

  • Boneless Fish cubed 1 cup

  • Raw Mango grated 1 cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoon

  • Satay sticks as required

  • Lemon 1 for garnish

  • Fresh mint leaves a few


Step 1

In a bowl mix together ginger-garlic paste, salt, lemon juice, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, raw mango and 2 tbsps oil and mix well.

Step 2

Add fish cubes and mix and allow them to marinate for 8-10 minutes.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan. String marinated fish cubes onto satay sticks and place them in the pan and shallow fry.

Step 4

Add the remaining masala. Turn a couple of times so that they get cooked evenly all around.

Step 5

Slice the lemon. Transfer the kababs onto a serving plate, garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves and serve hot.
