Ingredients list for Donut Waffles Maple Cinnamon Glaze

  • 1½ cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ? cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • ½ cup Milk
  • for greasing Butter
  • Maple cinnamon glaze
  • 4 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • ½ teaspoon Powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk

Method

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
  2. Cream together sugar, egg, egg yolk, vanilla essence and milk in a planetary mixer jar till well combined.
  3. Add flour mixture and process still a stiff dough is formed.
  4. Heat a waffle iron, grease with some butter and place a spoonful of prepared dough on it. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Make more waffles similarly.
  5. To make maple cinnamon glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon powder and milk till smooth.
  6. Drizzle the glaze on top of the waffles and serve immediately.
