Deep Pan Pizza - SK Khazana

Ingredients list for Deep Pan Pizza - SK Khazana

  • 1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • as required Pizza sauce
  • as required Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 20 grams Fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Olive oil + as required
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Red bell pepper cut into triangles
  • as required Yellow bell pepper cut into triangles
  • as required Green capsicum cut into triangles
  • 3-4 tablespoons Sweet corn kernels blanched
  • 2-4 Button mushrooms sliced
  • 2-4 Chicken sausages sliced
  • as required Red chilli flakes
  • as required Crushed black peppercorns
  • as required Dried oregano

Method

  1. In a bowl, add yeast, sugar and 3-4 tbsps water and mix well. Set aside to activate.
  2. In another bowl, add refined flour, activated yeast, 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and mix well. Add sufficient water to knead to soft dough. Add remaining oil and knead again. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven at 200˚C.
  4. Knock back the dough and dust some flour on the worktop. Place the dough on it and roll into a disc slightly bigger than the deep pan.
  5. Place the rolled out disc on to the deep pan, and push it around the sides about 1-1.5 inches. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Apply pizza sauce, place the capsicums, sweet corn kernels, mushroom, chicken sausage. Sprinkle red chilli flakes, crushed black peppercorns, dried oregano, mozzarella cheese and hand torn basil leaves.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cut into desired slices and serve.
