Deep Pan Pizza You can transform making your regular pizza into this ‘deep pan pizza’ recipe as it means that you can add more of the toppings and the cheese! By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Apr 2020 in Recipes Non Veg New Update Main Ingredients Refined flour (maida), Pizza sauce Cuisine Italian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Difficult Others Non Veg Ingredients 3 cups refined flour + dusting 30 grams fresh yeast 1 tsp sugar 4 tbsps olive oil + drizzling Salt to taste Pizza sauce as required ½ cup coloured capsicum, cut into triangles 3-4 tbsps sweet corn kernals, blanched 2-4 button mushroom, sliced 2-4 chicken sausage, sliced Red chilli flakes as required Crushed black peppercorns to taste Dried oregano as required Grated mozzarella cheese Method In a bowl, add yeast, sugar and 3-4 tbsps water and mix well. Set aside to activate. In another bowl, add refined flour, activated yeast, 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and mix well. Add sufficient water to knead to soft dough. Add remaining oil and knead again. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes. Preheat the oven at 200˚C. Knock back the dough and dust some flour on the worktop. Place the dough on it and roll into a disc slightly bigger than the deep pan. Place the rolled out disc on to the deep pan, and push it around the sides about 1-1.5 inches. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 8-10 minutes. Apply pizza sauce, place the capsicums, sweet corn kernels, mushroom, chicken sausage. Sprinkle red chilli flakes, crushed black peppercorns, dried oregano, mozzarella cheese and hand torn basil leaves. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
