Ingredients 

  • ½ cup sweet corn kernels
  • ½ cup cream-style sweet corn
  • ¼ small cabbage, finely chopped
  • ¼ medium carrot, finely diced
  • 4-5 cups vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper powder to taste
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour slurry
  • 1 stalk spring onion greens, chopped for garnish

Method 

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add corn kernels, cabbage and carrot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes and add vegetable stock. Bring it to a boil.
  2. Mix in the cream-style corn and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes. 
  3. Add salt, white pepper powder and sugar. Stir in cornflour the cornflour slurry, mix well and cook on high heat stirring continuously till it thickens.
  4. Garnish with spring onion greens and serve piping hot.
