Ingredients list for Dabeli Bruschetta
- 1 French bread sliced
- 1½ tablespoons Dabeli masala powder
- 2 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Tomato puree
- 2 large Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- as required Red chilli-garlic chutney
- as required Green chutney
- as required Date-tamarind chutney
- as required Mozzarella cheese grated
- for topping Peanuts with masala
- for topping Sev
- for topping Fresh coriander leaves
- for topping Fresh pomegranate pearls
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté till golden.
- Add tomatoes, mix and sauté. Add tomato puree, mix well and cook till tomatoes turn pulpy.
- Add dabeli masala and mix. Add potatoes and mix. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Add salt and mix. Switch off heat, add lemon juice and mix well.
- Place the bread slices on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and toast till lightly browned.
- Spread some red-chili garlic chutney and green chutney on each toasted slice. Top with a generous amount of the cooked mixture.
- Drizzle date-tamarind chutney and top with cheese. Put the tray back in the preheated oven and gratinate the cheese.
- Top with masala peanuts, sev, coriander leaves and pomegranate pearls and serve immediately.
