Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Curried Chicken Satay Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into strips 400 grams

  • Curry powder 1 tablespoon

  • Peanut butter 2 tablespoons

  • Coconut cream 2 tablespoons

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Dark soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Butter for greasing

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves 3-4


Step 1

Take chicken strips in a bowl. Add peanut butter, coconut cream, green chillies, curry powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, crushed peppercorns, salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat an electric grill toaster.

Step 3

Skewer each marinated chicken strip on a satay sticks.

Step 4

Grease the preheated toaster with some butter, place the prepared satay sticks on the preheated toaster and grill from both sides till chicken is cooked and golden.

Step 5

Place few iceberg lettuce leaves on one side of the platter, place satay sticks on other side and serve hot.
