Ingredients list for Crispy Mustard Chicken
- 2 Chicken breasts cut into 2 inch pieces
- 2-3 tablespoons Mustard paste kasundi
- ¼ cup Butter
- for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped, 1 tablespoon +
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 Lemon
- 2 Eggs
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 cup Fresh bread crumbs
Method
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan and cook till it browns. Add kasundi mustard mix and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add coriander leaves and mix. Add salt, mix and cook for 30 seconds. This is mustard sauce.
- Take chicken in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste, paprika, chili flakes, crushed peppercorns and lemon juice and mix. Add 1 tablespoon mustard sauce and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Beat eggs in another bowl. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Coat each marinated chicken piece with bread crumbs. Dip in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs again.
- Deep-fry the chicken pieces in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Place fried chicken pieces on a serving platter, drizzle remaining mustard sauce on top and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
