Ingredients
- ½ cup sweet corn, boiled and crushed
- 2-3 tbsps boiled sweet corn
- 1½ cups roasted semolina (rawa)
- 2 tbsps oil
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp split skinless black gram (urad dal)
- ¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)
- 1-2 green chillies, chopped
- ½ inch ginger, chopped
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp sugar
- Sprig of coriander for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, asafoetida, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add crushed corn, boiled corn, and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add semolina, salt, and sugar and mix well. Add 3½ cups hot water, and mix well. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes or till semolina is cooked completely.
- Take the lid off and mix well. Take it off the heat.
- Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
