Ingredients list for Corn Halwa
- 1 cup Corn kernels , boiled
- 4 tablespoons Ghee
- 1/4 cup + to garnish Mixed nuts , chopped
- 2 tablespoons Semolina (suji/rawa)
- 1 1/2 cups Khoyta (mawa)
- a pinch Saffron strands
- 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup Jaggery , grated
- 1 cup Milk
Method
- Put corn kernels into a blender jar and blend into a fine paste.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add nuts and sauté till lightly browned and crisp. Add semolina, mix and sauté till fragrant.
- Add corn paste and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Add khoya and mix till it melts. Add saffron strands and green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add jaggery and mix till it melts. Add milk, mix and cook till the mixture thickens.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with nuts and serve hot.
