By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Apr 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Green chillies, Garlic Cuisine Chinese Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Chilli Garlic Okra 3-4 Green chillies diagonally sliced 6-8 cloves Garlic finely chopped 500 grams Okra (ladysfingers/bhindi) wiped dry and ends trimmed 4 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch 2 tbsps + to deep fry Oil 1 medium Onion sliced 1 medium Green capsicum cut into thin strips 1 tablespoon Soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon MSG 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Red chilli flakes Method Sprinkle two tablespoons of cornflour on ladyfingers and mix well. Mix the remaining cornflour in one cup of water and set aside. Heat sufficient oil in a wok and deep fry ladyfingers until golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a wok, add garlic and stir fry for half a minute. Add onion, green chillies and capsicum and sauté for two to three minutes or until the onion is transluscent. Add soy sauce, MSG, white pepper powder, salt and cornflour mixture. Cook for a couple of minutes or until the mixture thickens, stirring continuously. Add fried ladyfingers and toss well to mix. Sprinkle red chilli flakes and serve hot.
