Ingredients list for Chicken Shawarma-SK Khazana
- 200 grams Boneless chicken breast
- 4 Pita breads
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons Schezwan sauce
- as required Pickled beetroot sliced
- as required Pickled cucumber strips
- as required Mint mayonnaise
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C.
- Taken chicken breasts in a bowl, add salt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, lemon juice and1 tablespoon oil and mix together well.
- Place the chicken on a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and roast for 15 minutes or till fully cooked.
- Take the tray out of the oven and place the chicken on a chopping board and cut into strips.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and heat the pita breads on it.
- For each portion place a pita bread on the worktop, put 1 tablespoon mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon schezwan sauce on it and spread evenly.
- Keep some of the chicken strips on it and top with pickled beetroot slices, some pickled cucumber strips and some mint mayonnaise and roll.
- Wrap in a piece of aluminium foil and serve immediately.
