Ingredients
- ½ cup grated cheese
- ½ cup boiled unpolished whole green gram (sabut moong)
- 3 eggs
- 1½ cups refined flour (maida)
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
Method
- Break eggs into a bowl and whisk. Sift maida, salt, baking powder and baking soda into the bowl. Add sugar and mix everything well.
- Add oil and mix. Add buttermilk and whisk till you get a smooth batter with no lumps.
- Add moong, cheese and red chilli powder and mix well.
- Heat a waffle iron and brush with a little oil. Pour a little batter into, close the lid and let it cook for 1 minute.
- Baste with a little oil and let it cook for another 30 seconds.
- Serve hot with a sauce of your choice.
