Ingredients list for Cauliflower Chickpea Tikki
- ½ medium Cauliflower grated
- 1 cup Chickpeas (kabuli chana) soaked overnight, boiled
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- ½ medium Red capsicum finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- ¼ cup Processed cheese grated
- for coating Bread crumbs pankao
- for shallow frying Oil
- 2-3 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
- to sprinkle Chaat masala
- for garnish coriander leaves chopped
- for garnish micro greens mixed
Method
- Take chickpeas in a bowl and mash. Add cauliflower, salt, chilli powder, garlic, onion, red capsicum and cumin seeds and mix. Add cheese and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into tikkis.
- Coat the tikkis with breadcrumbs.
- Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Shallow-fry tikkis from both sides till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Pour tomato ketchup in a serving bowl and pile fried tikkis on top. Sprinkle some chaat masala over them and garnish with some coriander leaves and micro greens.
- Serve hot.
