Ingredients list for Capsicum Dolma

  • 8 medium Green capsicums
  • 8 tablespoons Mutton mince
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 15-20 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 8 tablespoons Rice soaked in warm water for 15-20 minutes
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Dry mint leaves crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Whole dry red chillies crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted dry red chillies crushed
  • 6 tablespoons Oil
  • 4 medium Tomatoes seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup Fresh tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes

  1. Slice off the tops of the capsicums and remove the seeds. In a bowl take onions, half the garlic, rice, mutton mince, salt, crushed dry mint leaves and mix.
  2. Add crushed dry red chillies, crushed roasted dry red chillies and mix well. Stuff the capsicums with this mixture and place them in a pan.
  3. Place the pan on medium heat. Add oil, remaining garlic, tomatoes, tomato puree, salt and red chilli flakes. Add two cups of water and bring it to a boil.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for twenty five to thirty minutes so that the mutton and the rice get completely cooked.
  5. Serve hot.
