Ingredients list for Banana Cake In Pan
- 2 Ripe bananas
- 1 Egg
- 3/4 cup Castor sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup Oil
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 1/4 cups Refined flour (maida)
- a pinch Salt
- 3 teaspoons Baking powder
- 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Butter
Method
- Break egg into a bowl, add castor sugar and vanilla essence whisk well with an electric hand blender.
- Add oil and milk and continue to whisk till a homogenous mixture is formed.
- Sieve refined flour, salt and baking powder into the egg mixture and whisk well.
- Peel and slice the bananas.
- Heat brown sugar in a non-stick pan till it caramelizes and then arrange the banana slices over it.
- Add butter and cook the bananas for a few seconds. Pour the cake batter on top of the caramelized bananas. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a medium low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Turn the cake upside down on a plate and then slide it back into the pan. Cook the other side for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove cake from the pan and cool down to room temperature.
- Slice, arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
