By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Dec 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Ripe bananas, Egg Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Banana Cake In Pan 2 Ripe bananas 1 Egg 3/4 cup Castor sugar 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence 1/3 cup Oil 1 cup Milk 1 1/4 cups Refined flour (maida) a pinch Salt 3 teaspoons Baking powder 2 tablespoons Brown sugar 1 tablespoon Butter Method Break egg into a bowl, add castor sugar and vanilla essence whisk well with an electric hand blender. Add oil and milk and continue to whisk till a homogenous mixture is formed. Sieve refined flour, salt and baking powder into the egg mixture and whisk well. Peel and slice the bananas. Heat brown sugar in a non-stick pan till it caramelizes and then arrange the banana slices over it. Add butter and cook the bananas for a few seconds. Pour the cake batter on top of the caramelized bananas. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a medium low heat for 15-20 minutes. Turn the cake upside down on a plate and then slide it back into the pan. Cook the other side for 8-10 minutes. Remove cake from the pan and cool down to room temperature.
