Ingredients list for Bajre ke Masaledar Pulao
- 2 cups Pearl Millets soaked in water overnight
- 2 tablespoons Tomatoes
- 1 large Onion
- 1 inch Ginger
- 2 medium Tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a pressure pan. Roughly chop onion and add to the pan.
- Cut ginger into thin long strips and roughly chop tomato. Add both to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add pearl millets and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add 4 cups of water. Close the lid and cook on high heat up to 2 whistles. Lower the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
