Ingredients list for Bajra na Dhebra

  • 1 cup Bajra flour
  • + for dusting Whole wheat flour (atta) ½ cup
  • ½ cup Fenugreek leaves (methi) cleaned
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1¼ teaspoons Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1½ teaspoons White sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for cooking Oil 1 teaspoon +

Method

  1. Put bajra flour, wheat flour, fenugreek leaves, yogurt, green chillies, sesame seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well and knead into a soft dough. Add 1 teaspoon oil and knead again.
  2. Divide dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten the balls, dust with wheat flour and roll out into medium sized rotis. These are dhebras.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa. Place each dhebra and cook for 2 minutes or till the underside is done. Flip, drizzle oil all around and cook till evenly done from both the sides.
  4. Serve hot with yogurt and dollops of ghee.
