Ingredients for BUTTER PANEER PIZZA - skk Recipe

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into medium cubes 200 grams

  • Pizza dough as required

  • Oil 3-4 tables to grease

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Tomato puree 1 cup

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Cashewnuts 10-12

  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) powdered 1 teaspoon

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Onion pieces 3-4

  • Green capsicum pieces 3-4

  • Butter cubes a few

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Mixed dried herbs to sprinkle

  • Red chilli flakes to sprinkle


Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and sauté till translucent. Add tomato puree and ¼ cup water and mix well.

Step 2

Add garam masala powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well. Add salt and cashewnuts and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. Cool, transfer into a mixer jar and grind into a fine puree.

Step 3

Heat remaining oil in another non-stick pan, add cottage cheese cubes and sauté till golden brown. Drain on a plate.

Step 4

Add the ground puree to the oil remaining in the pan. Rinse the mixer jar with some water and add to the pan. Mix and saute.

Step 5

Add dried fenugreek leaves powder and honey and mix well.

Step 6

Add fried cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Cover and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool.

Step 7

Dust the worktop with some refined flour, keep the dough over it and roll out into a pizza base of medium thickness.

Step 8

Grease a baking tray with some oil and dust some dry flour over it. Place the pizza base in the tray. Cover with a piece of cloth and set aside for 15-20 minutes.

Step 9

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 10

Remove the cloth, spread some butter paneer gravy and place the paneer cubes on top.

Step 11

Arrange onions and capsicum pieces on it. Place butter cubes on top. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and coriander leaves over the butter.

Step 12

Baste the edges of the pizza base with some melted butter, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 13

Bring the tray out of the oven, cut the pizza into wedges, arrange them on a serving plate, sprinkle mixed dried herbs and red chilli flakes and serve.
