Ingredients
- 2 medium turnips (shalgam) boiled and mashed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons oil
- 10-12 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 medium onions, sliced finely
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onion and saute till light brown.
- Add tomatoes, ginger, red chilli powder and green chillies and saute for three to four minutes.
- Add shalgam and salt and mix well and cover and cook for five minutes.
- Add half of the coriander leaves and cook for two minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with remaining coriander leaves.
