Ingredients for Peach Upside Down Cup Cakes Recipe

  • Peaches 2 canned

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 1/2 cups

  • Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Clove powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Sugar 3/4 cup

  • Buttermilk 3/4 cup

  • Peach puree 2 tablespoons

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Egg 1 large

  • Honey 1/4 cup

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut peaches into 8 thick slices and put one slice in each of 8 muffin moulds.

Step 2

Sieve together refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, clove powder into a bowl. Add sugar and buttermilk and mix. Add peach puree, butter and mix. Add egg and mix.

Step 3

Drizzle honey equally over the peach slices in each mould. Pour the batter into the moulds till ¾ full. Arrange them on a baking tray and keep the tray in the preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Take them out, cool slightly, turn them upside down on serving plates and serve.
