Ingredients list for Moong Dal Waffle

  • 1 cup Whole green grams (sabut moong) soaked for 1 hour blanched and drained
  • 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons Condensed milk
  • a pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1/2 cup Khoya/mawa grated
  • 2 tablespo Butter
  • 1 cup Milk

Method

  1. Sift together refined flour, baking powder and baking soda into a bowl.
  2. Add condensed milk, salt, chaat masala, khoya, 2 tablespoons butter and moong dal. Mix well.
  3. Add milk and mix well to make a thick batter.
  4. Heat a waffle machine and brush with a little butter.
  5. Pour a little batter into it, close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes or till golden.
  6. Serve hot with honey.
