Ingredients list for Millet Munchies

  • 3 cups Millet
  • 1/2 cup Gram Flour
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds crushed
  • 1 tablespoons Sesame seeds (til) roasted
  • 4 tablespo Oil

Method

  1. In a large plate sieve all the flours along with salt. Add yogurt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and four tablespoons of oil.
  2. Mix well and knead this mixture into a semi soft dough using a little water. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Fill the dough into a chakri press and drop desired shapes in sufficient hot oil and fry on medium heat till golden crisp. Drain and store in airtight jars.
