Ingredients list for Mexican Cauliflower Fritters
- 1 medium Cauliflower
- 1/4 teaspoon refined Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Milk
- 3/4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon Baking powder
- a pinch Nutmeg powder
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Cut cauliflower into medium sized florets. Cook in boiling salted water for six to seven minutes or till just tender. Drain and keep aside
- Beat egg with milk in a small bowl. In another bowl, mix refined flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg powder. Gradually stir milk mixture and whisk until smooth. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
- Dip cauliflower florets in the batter and gently lower them into the hot oil. Deep fry till golden and crisp on the outside. Drain and place them on absorbent paper and serve hot.
