Ingredients list for Malabar Paneer - SK Khazana

  • 250 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 810 Curry leaves
  • 3 Green chillies slit
  • 1 Large onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry cottage cheese cubes till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add onions, curry leaves, green chillies and onions, mix and sauté till onion turns translucent.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes or till onion turns a light golden. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  4. Add fried cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Add coconut milk, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add salt and mix well.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
