Ingredients list for Lauki ki Kheer - SK Khazana

  • 1 Medium bottle gourd peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Khoya / mawa grated
  • 1 tablespoon Chironji
  • 1 tablespo to garnish Pistachios slivered
  • 1 tablespo to garnish Almonds slivered
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add grated lauki and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add milk and mix well. Add sugar and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Add khoya and chironji and mix well and cook till khoya blends well with the milk-bottle gourd mixture.
  4. Add pistachios and almonds and mix well. Add green cardamom powder, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with pistachios and almonds and serve hot or cold.
