Ingredients list for Gajar Puri

  • 2 medium Carrots boiled
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • as required Buttermilk
  • 1 tablespo Oil

  1. Place wheat flour in a bowl, add carrot puree, red chilli powder, carom seeds and salt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix.
  2. Slowly add buttermilk and knead into stiff dough. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add 1 tbsp of hot oil the dough and knead.
  3. Divide the dough into small portions and roll into balls. Apply a little oil to each ball and roll into puris.
  4. Deep-fry the puris in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
