Ingredients list for Fried Peanuts

  • 1 1/2 cups Raw Peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons Gram flour
  • 3/4 cup Gram flour (besan)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • a pinch Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium heat. Mix gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, baking powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala in a bowl and sprinkle a little water.
  2. Add peanuts and 2 tbsps oil and mix well. Sprinkle a little more water and mix well.Add the peanuts to the hot oil, ensuring that they do not stick together. Deep fry on medium heat till well browned and crisp.
  3. Drain on absorbent paper. Mix chaat masala and red chilli powder and sprinkle. Let them cool and then serve.
