By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Nov 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Oil Cuisine South Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 3.30-4 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Dal Vada-SK Khazana 2 cups Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked for 3-4 hours and drained to deep fry Oil 1-2 Green chillies chopped 15-17 Curry leaves 1 Medium onion finely chopped 1/2 inch Ginger finely chopped 2-3 tables to garnish Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped to taste Salt to serve Lemon wedges to serve Green coconut chutney Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Coarsely grind drained split Bengal gram with broken green chillies and curry leaves. Transfer into a bowl. Add onion, ginger, coriander leaves and salt and mix well. Dampen your palms with some water, divide the mixture into equal portions, shape into balls and flatten them slightly between yours palms to shape into vadas. Put the vadas in hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Line a serving platter with a piece of banana leaf and place the dal vadas on one side.
