Ingredients list for Dahi Kheema

  • 1 1/3 cups Yogurt
  • 700 grams Mutton Mince
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 3 Cinnamon
  • 1 Black cardamom
  • 1 blade Mace
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 medium Onions finely chopped
  • 6-7 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a non stick pan. Add the cloves, cinnamon, green cardamoms, black cardamom, mace, bay leaves and onions and sauté till fragrant.
  2. Add the green chillies and sauté for a minute. Add the garlic paste, ginger paste and quarter cup of water and mix.
  3. Add the kheema and mix. Add salt and sauté till the water evaporates. Add the red chilli powder and mix well. Cook till the kheema is almost cooked and dry.
  4. Add the yogurt and mix. Reduce heat, cover and cook till the kheema is fully done.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
