Ingredients list for Crispy Aloo Pakoras
- 1 small Potato, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 small Onion , finely chopped
- 2 cups Gram flour (besan)
- 2 Green chillies, finely chopped
- 1/2 piece Ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
- 1/2 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Mix potato, onion, gram flour, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, soda, salt, coriander leaves.
- Add sufficient water to make thick batter.Heat oil in a kadai. Drop a spoonful of batter in oil and deep fry the pieces till three fourth done.
- Drain on an absorbent paper.Break into smaller pieces and refry in the same oil till crisp and cooked.
- Drain on an absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
